Beware of Phishing

Scammers copy our emails, websites and videos. Check the sender and the URL every time.

Don't Download Anything

No software, wallet "updates" or files sent by phone, email or Loom. Nothing in crypto is urgent.

Never Enter Your Seed Phrase

Not on any website, form or call. Ever. Anyone asking is trying to steal from you.

Common scams to watch for

Tap one that sounds like your situation.
Someone is asking me to download software or a wallet "update"

This is one of the most common ways people lose their crypto. Fake Ledger, Rabby and MetaMask "updaters" install malware that steals your wallet.

‍

  • DM staff will never ask you to install anything outside what's taught in the official DM course.
  • Real wallet updates happen inside the wallet app itself, never from a link someone sends you.
  • There is no "urgent" update. Ever.
Don't download it. End the conversation.
Someone sent me a Loom or video of them passing DM Verify

A video proves nothing. Scammers record themselves entering their own code on a fake or real page, then send it to you.

‍

  • You must type the code into dm-verify.com yourself, live, while they read it to you.
  • A screenshot, screen recording or "here's my verification" message is not verification.
Treat them as unverified. Ask for a live code, or stop.
Someone says they work for DM

Anyone can say they work at DM, and fake profiles copy names and photos of real staff.

‍

  • Ask them for their 6-digit code and verify it here yourself.
  • Check the email domain letter by letter. Lookalikes swap or add letters.
  • Your mentor will happily turn their camera on. Scammers usually won't.
No code, no camera = not DM.
"Your wallet is compromised, move your funds now"

Urgency is the scam. The "safe wallet" they give you belongs to them.

‍

  • Nothing in crypto needs to happen in the next 10 minutes.
  • Never send funds to an address someone else gives you to "protect" them.
  • Hang up and contact your mentor through a channel you already trust.
Pause. Don't move anything.
Someone asks me to "validate", "sync" or "restore" my wallet with my seed phrase

Your seed phrase is the wallet. Whoever has it owns your crypto.

‍

  • Never type it into any website, form, chat, email or app, even one that looks like Ledger, Rabby or DM.
  • Never read it out loud or show it on camera.
  • If a page asks for it, close the page. Setting up a wallet from a link someone sent you is almost always a trap.
Never enter it anywhere. Ever.
Someone wants to share my screen or take remote control

Tools like AnyDesk, TeamViewer or "screen assist" let them see your seed phrase and click "send" for you.

‍

  • DM will never ask you to install remote-access software.
  • Never show your wallet, seed phrase or exchange account while sharing your screen with someone you haven't verified.
Decline and end the call.
I got an email or link from a site that looks like DM

Scammers register lookalike domains and copy our pages exactly.

‍

  • Type dm-verify.com into your browser yourself instead of clicking links.
  • Don't connect your wallet or sign anything on a site you reached from a link.
When in doubt, don't click.
